From the first release of the OnTime calendar in 1998 it has been designed to scale in large environments - delivering the calendar and
scheduling information users need in their everyday work. This information includes both employees and resources such as meeting
rooms.
The flexibility of OnTime is a key success factor. OnTime allows the organization full flexibility in defining the number of group calendars needed. Often organizations using OnTime will have a user in more than one group calendar. For example, the organization can create subsets of group calendars which reflect the various departments within the organization.
Cost of ownership is kept at a minimum by offering automatic configuration based on the Domino Directory or any other Notes database, such as an employee or organization database. By using these options in combination, the administrator can essentially let OnTime be self maintaining after the initial configuration.
OnTime includes a rich set of features including:
- Updated within seconds after a user has made a change in the personal calendar
- Uses native Domino server tasks
- Server tasks supports NT, WIN2000 and AS400 natively
- Limited strain on server resources
- All client versions above 4.5x supported
- Web and WAP supported
- Available for both 24 hour and AM/PM formats
- Who is on vacation? The user can see other employee's vacation plans in graphical views
- Centrally managed Holiday module included
- Requires no modifications of the standard mail template
- Supports company specific fields added to calendar form
- Supports off-line use
- Integrated with SMS servers (requires additional software) to deliver time critical messages
- Integration options for relational databases available
