Cobra Technologies Announces Latest Release
of Cobra Image Router v5.5
Orlando, FL, January 17, 2010 - Cobra Technologies announces a February 1, 2010 release date for Cobra Image Router 5.5 in the continuing evolution of the market leading imaging solution for the IBM Lotus Domino environment.
Some highlights of new functionality delivered in this release are :
- support for direct, intelligent scanning to IBM Lotus Quickr for Domino
- new device compatibility with Gestetner, Lanier, Ricoh and Savin
- improved performance and support for Lotus Notes and Domino release 8.5.
CIR communicates directly with network scanning devices to intelligently route images to virtually anywhere within the Lotus Domino environment – IBM Lotus Quickr, Lotus Domino.Doc, any Lotus Notes database and Lotus Notes or Internet Email addresses. CIR in conjunction with the Cobra OCR Module can produce and deliver fully searchable images in numerous file formats.
Direct scanning to Quickr for Domino is made possible via integration with our new Q-Scan solution. Delivered as a new routing method directly in your CIR configuration, it's seemless to add Quickr scanning to your existing CIR environment! Users can now scan directly to Quickr Places and leverage all existing CIR functionality such as meta-data and barcodes for populating simple form based data in Quickr.
CIR 5.5 also introduces major new device support for the Ricoh family of devices. With its recent partnership with Ricoh, CIR 5.5 now provides support for multifunction printers from Ricoh, Gestetner, Lanier and Savin. Any java enabled devices from these manufactures are fully supported by CIR v5.5. CIR 5.5 is also available for our existing supported devices - HP, Xerox and Axis.
